Hi all! This year at WordCamp Norway 2016 we are opening a session specifically for Lightning talks. Lightning talks are designed to be short presentations, between five to ten minutes long, where the speakers will get an opportunity to make their point, and make it quickly.
Do you have a lightning talk you want to present? We’d love to hear it 🙂 Send an email to norway@wordcamp.org with your name, topic of presentation and indended audience – and we’ll get back to you!
Coming to WordCamp Norway and wish you could be more involved than the average attendee? Volunteers — whether you’re signing on to be responsible for a whole area of event operations or pitching in for an hour or two — are the foundation of every WordCamp, and volunteering is a great way to meet more of the community and give something back. You also get a free ticket!
Starting as “only” a blogging software, WordPress has grown in ways that continue to amaze. Whether used as a blog, a content management system, or a full software platform WordPress helps those with stories to tell get their content to the masses.
For WordCamp Norway, we’re particularly interested in hearing from those who have used WordPress in interesting, innovative, and significant ways. Whether the open source software was used to deliver something technically amazing or whether WordPress was the foundation for creating something meaningful in the community, we want to know about it.
We’re also looking for dynamic and versatile speakers to talk about how they use WordPress to grow their business, develop advanced plugins, tell their stories, and much much more.
We’re happy to announce that WordCamp Norway is officially on the calendar!
Last year was such a great event and we cannot wait to make it even better. We look forward to keeping you updated here with details around the venue/location, speakers, sponsors and attendees along with a schedule of events.
WordCamp Norway will be at the 20th of February 2016 at a cool location called Gamle Museet (translate: Old Museum) in Oslo.
